Yes folks, I am moving and Baguettes and Vegemite is coming with me . And no, it’s not to my dream house on the beach that we have been planning and building for 18 months, and which is only 2 months away from completion. That dream house I wont be living in permanently for 6 months!

Life is amazing. The phone rings, you answer it, the person on the other end offers you a job, and in just a few moments your life has changed. It wasn’t the dream job that I have always wanted (as yet no-one has offered me a paid job trekking around the world, I’m still waiting for the phone call from Vegemite!) It was 450 kms away from my family, from my home town and my dream house. But it was a challenge and only for 6 months, and the money would pay for that rug which would look fabulous in my new living room, and the painting that I absolutely fell in love with.
So of course I took the job and here I am sitting in the local library using their free wifi . And come summer instead of lying on the balcony in my new house, beer in hand, watching the sun set over the ocean, I will be sitting on the trundle bed that is my living room sofa.

I was briefly determined not to get a TV, but to pursue noble pursuits like reading my way through the list of 100 Books you Must Read Before You Die and writing and blogging and learning Spanish. Hmmm, well that lasted a week and I’m just getting a move on with this blog because it is almost time for the new cooking reality series Hot Plate and I can’t miss the gay guys from Mandurah who according to the ads are going to have the TV melt down of the century!
Now that I am settled I will get back to Baguettes and Vegemite and I look forward to sharing some new food thoughts and insprations with you soon.
