I love walking around New York, particularly around Broadway and all the theatres. When I win Lotto I am going to come back and go see all the shows I walked past and thought”Oh, I’d love to see that!” (Note to self, buy Lotto ticket!)

The next couple of days were spent doing other tourist things

If I hadn’t had other plans I could have gone to see the woman who isn’t Jane Krakowski in the Tony Awards Carpool Karaoke with Lin Manuel Miranda. Apparently she is a classical singer as well. (Some people will know who I mean!)
The Rose Museum at Carnegie Hall is worth a visit, it’s an interesting story and so many talented people have performed there over the years

Radio City Hall has also showcased a lot of talent. Look who’s coming

Central Park is gorgeous but huge. We found Strawberry Fields , the memorial to John Lennon

The quiet zone was disturbed by this guy who played a lovely rendition of Imagine, then started yelling really loud and whistling for the police when someone disturbed him.
We ate lots of course

and hamburger and cosmopolitans and beer from 5 Napkins

M & M World was colourful

And the Trump Hotel and Tower, well I walked past it so I thought I should take a picture of the globe anyway.

And of course, the reason I flew thousands of miles across the USA
Hamilton!

For those who haven’t heard of it, it is the story of Founding Father, Alexander Hamilton, told mainly in rap and dance.

Oh my! So much better than I ever imagined, two and a half hours hrs of energy, laughter and tears, pure musical joy! I don’t even know how to describe it really. I just know I want to see it again…..and again….and again!

I’m young, scrappy, and hungry
And I’m not throwing away my shot
And that my friends, was New York!
Oh, apart from my last breakfast

OMG! Hamilton is on my Bucket List! I want to see To Kill a Mockingbird!!!
