“Claude Monet lived for forty-three years, from 1883 to 1926, in his house in Giverny. With a passion for gardening as well as for colours, he conceived both his flower garden and water garden as true works of art. Walking through his house and gardens, visitors can still feel the atmosphere which reigned at the home of the Master of Impressionnism and marvel at the floral compositions and nymphéas, his greatest sources of inspiration.”Foundation Monet
What a beautiful place to end our holiday, only 100 kms from Paris, if you get the chance you should visit these gardens. I’ll let my photos tell the story.
With only one hundred kms to Charles de Gaulle Airport and the grey clouds threatening rain we headed off on the last drive.

Getting close to the airport
A fond farewell to our leased Peugeot, it served us well over 7 000 kms.
And from me, a heartfelt thanks to the Driver, my husband Bruce. He did a wonderful job of negotiating the motorways and tolls, the roundabouts and the navigator who sometimes lost her way!
I loved seeing Monet’s garden through your eyes. I’ve put it on my bucket list to see it through my own eyes.
I have so thoroughly enjoyed your Camino / your trip around Portugal and then parts of France – you are an amazing photographer with a great eye for capturing just the right image – and truly wonderful to see Bruce enjoying the holiday. with love to you both – Ax.
Thank you so much, I am really touched that people have enjoyed my photos. Love to you from me and the driver!!
