“I know another adventure, another dream lies ahead. Liz is heading off to trek the 1300km Shikoku 88 temple pilgrimage in Japan this year. I would love to do that, but it is something she wants to do on her own. It is amazing where her Camino has taken her and I am so proud of her.”
Well, Liz has been trekking in Japan for a week and in 5 weeks I am going to join her!! As anyone who has done a pilgrimage knows, a pilgrim’s trek is their own. And if it turns out that Liz is still walking when I arrive in 5 weeks I will join her for the rest of the trek. And if she’s finished, well who knows what we will do. That’s the adventure of travel!
I so enjoy the obvious warmth and love between you and your daughter. Delightful to feel it through your writings. I wish her well and am looking forward to reading your blog when U join up in 5 weeks.
